Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King is the latest in a long line of legendary role-playing games. Playable on the Sony PlayStation 2 video game console, DQVIII is an epic adventure where you take on the role of The Hero, loyal knight hailing from the Kingdom of Trodain. The breaking of a magical seal on a mystical scepter has unearthed a curse upon the kingdom. The king and princess were dramatically transformed and the citizens of Trodain were frozen in time. The only one who escaped unaffected by the curse was you. It is up to you to seek out the maniacal jester known as Dhoulmagus, who has committed this treachery, so you can restore the kingdom and its inhabitants back to its former glory. Along the way, you'll encounter many individuals who will offer their services to you, some who will even join you in this quest to stop Dhoulmagus in his evil tracks.
